Engine/PTO HP needed for mowers and tillers?

Looking for information relating PTO HP to implement size, like how much engine or PTO HP is needed to run a 6' flail mower without lugging the tractor down. I've run my 6' flail mower with my AC 5020, which is rated at 23 engine HP, which is probably about 18-20 PTO HP. It worked, but I might want to step it up a little, starting to shop for a new tractor.

Most 6' implements are in the 35 HP PTO ballpark.

Google a supplier for the implement you are interested in. They should have HP and size ratings on a chart for their equipment.

About 25 PTO HP...and some sense.

PTO HP on the 5020 is 21.79, 18 on the drawbar. I have never seen the engine HP listed anywhere (it isn't in the manuals). BTW what do you plan to do with the 5020 when you find your new tractor? If you are willing to part it out, I would be interested in the condition of you sheet metal and assorted other pieces-parts.
