engine problems on s370 beaver

I need to know how to do a comression test and time the ke70 engine. I bought a manual, but it dosn't show where the timing marks are. From what I have read, to adjust the pump timing requires sims. The guy that I bought the tractor from just put new injectors and pump on, and I'm almost sure he didn't time the pump. Engine cranks over good but will not start.
