Lots of good advise here . The one thing I would add is, get the dealer involved if you think there is something not correct on your NEW machine. Even if they say all is fine, if something does go wrong , you have made contact and have a record of what may have been said by the dealer. Warranty, warranty, warranty

Now with 11 hours on the Kioti CK2620 I've had enough of the loudness and pinging. The Kubota L3800 is positively quiet in comparison and I wear ear protection when using it.

I doubt that it's fuel since if anything it should run a bit rich at 7,500 feet, which leaves timing.

Thankfully I have great dealer, unfortunately they're over 400 miles away, so any suggestions are welcome.

Anyone remember a post a while back on a pinging.rattle on a brand new CUT.

IIRC the dealer finally tore it down and found a staple from the air filter imbedded in the pistons crown. diesels have such small piston to head clearance at TDC it does not take much to make some noise.

Put a wrench on the axle drain bolts and verify they're tight. Several people including myself found they were hand tight
