Engine for L2250

I have a L2550 with a bad engine. I inherited it after somebody remove the engine cylinder head and left it off in the rain. It has low compression in the cylinders. Does anyone know where I can get a used engine or a reman unit. Thanks.

The engine in it is a Kubota D1402-DI-A according to tractordata. Most of the Kubota engines are well supported in the rebuild industry. If you look you should be able to find a data plate with the engine number on it. With luck a local shop should be able to rebuild it for less than a rebuilt engine. Good luck and keep us posted.
