Why not? That’s the whole reason for buying lifetime tools.

I misuse my tools quite a bit, but I have only managed to break like 5 in 10 or more years.

A few extensions, one 1/2 to 3/8 adapter and a 3/8 ratchet, all I have broke.

If I used a screwdriver as a chisel because I did not take the time to grab a chisel or did not have a chisel, there is no way I could look a person in the eye and say that I deserve a replacement screwdriver. I have to sleep at night.

I'm glad Lowe's dropped Kobalt and picked up Craftsman.

I bought 3 toolboxes on absolute blowout so they could start putting the Craftman's on the floor. Was a great experience for me getting some items I'd have never otherwise been able to afford. Spent $100 on the bottom roller unit and the top unit to fit that bottom ($50 each), then spent another $100 on the big roll around base with the wood worktop. $200 for 3 boxes. Yay for me.

I have a set of SK sockets that are all 6 point and well made. Also have a set of 6 point Husky sockets that were on a Christmas Special from Home Depot at a giveaway price. If you can get make it fit, six point is the way to go.

Are you a regular user for business or weekend stuff? I can't believe I am saying this but for the money the HF Pittsburgh wrenches on sale, or using coupon can be very affordable and you don't feel so bad if they walk away.

The HF high polish sets are well made and great wrenches for all but the full time guys.

It never fails though, there's always some hard to reach bolt that you need a different wrench or tool to get at.

I have a set of the Kobalt metric high polish and they are not only beautiful and perfectly made, they were inexpensive. They lack a little bit of the finesses and overall feel of a Snap-On but have become my go-to metric wrenches. If I was just starting out, I'd have some combination of Kobalt and the high end HF wrenches.

The nuts on the front of one of my tractors are something like 36mm... I broke that socket and I only had one, that size. It was a hassle having "right then" to buy another socket!

I replaced the socket with a Proto brand and ended that problem...

Proto is actually at least in the league of Snap-On, and maybe better, also made in the U.S.A... btw, Lowes is still selling Kobalt tools, so, I don't see where this info came from, maybe a specific store??.. I've had a very nice 1/2" Lithium 20 v powered cordless drill from them for years, and it held up much better than Craftsman drills!.. to discontinue Kobalt would be a HUGE mistake!..

I have 2 Proto ratchets and they’re top notch. I don’t remember what I paid but it was less than snap on.

top notch is right, but, I paid over $60 for the 7342H Proto Professional 1-5/16 impact socket!!.. I can't imagine it ever breaking, though!.. it weighs like 2 lbs..

Went by Lowes today. All the Craftsman they have is toolboxes and combination wrench sets. No individual tools.
