Kioti CK30 FEL
I posted this question on the buying/pricing forum but no one seems to know why some CK30 have them and some don't. My new one does not but my brother-in-laws does. Thought some of you dealers might know. Thanks

I'm not sure but I recall reading that it is the HST versions have the shut off while the standard tranny versions do not. Presumably the logic is because it would be possible to stall the standard tranny version if turning the key off did not stop the motor.

The newer HST's may have the shut off, but I can say that the '05's (at least the one I got), do not have a shut-off.
I'm complaining to Kioti:)

My '05 HST has it, but I've never used it.

My '05 HST CK30 also has the shut off pull out knob, I've used it just to test it.

That's it, who do I go to? I want to register a complaint.
I didn't get something that I probably don't need anyhow :p
Maybe mine is a leftover '04, or since I didn't get it until Nov of '05 it might be an '06?
What say you Mr. Wallace?

Mine's an '06 gear. No shutoff on mine.

My 2005? HST does not have the shutoff. I might be able to manually activate the lever on the pump though if I could get it to shut off.

The reason is a change in the fuel shut off selenoid.

The older ones, if something happened to the electrial system the fuel didn't shut off unless you pulled the manuel shut off.

The new selenoid takes electric to open it, but if electric is lost it shuts off automatically. So no need for a manuel shut down.

Joe,

Does this mean that it's fail safe, by simply turning off the ignition? If not, I sure like the idea of having a secondary means to shut it off. Reading o heare about run away tractors makes me nervous. Should it happen at the wrong moment, it could be deadly.
