I've got a problem with my Mahindra emax22 HST. When I'm pulling an implement and I go over a bump and the implement gets pushed up the implement stays up. I have to push down on the 3 point hitch lever to get it to go down. Am I doing something wrong?

Three things- what do you mean by push down on the 3 pt lever. The height adjustment lever should be down when using a 3 pt implement. But maybe you are referring to something else?

Their is an adjustment knob that controls how fast or slow the 3 pt will lower. It should be between your legs/feet when sitting on the machine.

Sometimes something that is attached to the 3 pt will bind. Does the implement have a driveshaft or other linkage that is binding?

The lever on the right side that raises and lowers the implement. On my tractor the lever is spring loaded a returns to the middle position. Push the lever forward and the implement goes down, move the lever to the rear and the implement goes up. Don't touch the lever the lever returns to the center position and the implement stays down. With the implement in the down position and the position lever untouched when I drive the tractor forward and the implement goes over a bump the implement is pushed up and rather than it falling back down (as it should) it hangs up (not falling back to the ground). I then have to move the position lever forward to release the implement back to the ground. The adjustment knob you refer to is in the fast fall position.

That's the con of that type of 3 pt control versus the position control.

I don't know however why the manufacturers don't put a detent on the lower position like my old Kubota B7000 had. It would actually detent on both up and down position, then when the arms reach the top or bottom limits, it would return to center.

I think it’s flowing hydraulic fluid constantly if it held up or down. That’s a guess, not a fact/known on my part.
