Email or Phone?

I prefer when I look at a website and there is an interest in something to send an email ... I click the contact us and no email address to ask about the item, I close the window.

What about you?

If it is an item I have researched and am very interested in I will do what ever it takes. I prefer internet shopping because the selection is with out limitations and easier. But if it takes a phone call to get what I want I'm OK with that also. And some times the phone call is better. Every now and then I can talk to someone that knows what the heck they are doing and can give me some good up front advice. But this is extremely rare these days.

I only shop at websites that have online ordering. Email is not secure and phone calls are a hassle.

It depends on my situation. If I am not in a rush or have an overly complicated question, I use email. I tend to use phone as a last resort simply because it is more difficult to multitask on the phone than when communicating by email.

I will not boycott a product or dealer as a result of no email however, unless they don't answer their phone within a few rings.

When I have a phone number and call and talk to the person it means alot to me. That's how I think of a persons worth. When I call and order something, and they tell me I will ship now and when I ask about payment and they tell me to send a check when you receive it...tells me about a real person. That is their word and also yours. I once asked how he knew I would pay him and in responce he said because I think you need it and will pay me. You gave your word to pay me didn't you. On occasion I still buy things using e-mail or internet services, don't get me wrong, but few people still will ship without being paid in full first. Reassures me there are still some good people out there. The kind I will deal with even if it costs a little more.
