I never saw her movies or knew her when she was famous ... but my Mother always thought she was the best of the best. My Mother was a very smart person so, I believe she was one of the best.

But to her credit, I think by far her greatest contribution to the world was her advocacy work with AIDS/HIV. She has my deepest respect for that.

IMO that's the greatest thing anyone can do with their lives, help people, not just entertain them.

She didn't have eight husbands, just seven. She was married eight times.
