I agree that OEM parts for repair is always the best way to go. My suggestions were based on the urgency in his original post.

Yes, if all you're after is a way to start the engine and connectthe alternator up, refer to the wiring diagram posted above to figure out the right wires, but generally, the big wire is your "hot" or "batt lead, the two other heavy leads are for the thermastart, the small lead operates your starter.
