Occassionally I find a need for some electrical power out in the boonies and, as an alternative to hauling around a portable generator, was thinking about installing a Power Inverter - something like a Coleman PMP2000 (2kw, modified sine wave) - in the electrical system of my Yanmar 2220D. Haven't located the "perfect" place to put it on the tractor, nor have I acquired an inverter, but it seems like it would be an ideal solution for those times that a little 110 AC is needed and the longest available extension cord is a few hundred feet too short.
Has anyone here done such an mod, and, if so, what has been your experience with it? Would it be worth a couple of hours labor and a couple of hundred dollars.
