Electric tractors

/ Electric tractors #2
Electric powered Tractors make more sense than electrically powered cars and trucks. Tractors are utilized during more temperate weather (usually) except for the scorching summer heat. Northern colder climates really limit the distance and time between recharges. I just can't see electric vehicles ever becoming mainstream in cold climates.

I know very little about this - can current electric batteries operate a 35 hp tractor mowing or brush hogging for 3 or so hours without recharging?

Sure! Enough of them. Maybe that is where a tractor has an advantage over a car. Weight is GOOD. Space maybe not such a big issue. Cost, IS the issue.
