EH63 / EH65 Oil filters

Help;
Do any 180/422 owners have a cross ref.# on the Robin 18 & 22 hp oil filter for an aftermarket filter- NAPA, CAR QUEST, etc,. I've done a forum search but can't find any info.

I just did a search on line and came up with 144 manufacturers cross reference numbers for the 180, 422, and 425 engine oil filters.
(same Robin part # 248-65801-00 on the 180, 422, 425 engines ). I guess I won't have a problem finding an aftermarket oil filter. I was buying them through PowerTrac, but I can't be bothered with their $50.00 min. order anymore.

I have bought both the oil and hydraulic filters at my local car parts store (Purolator & NAPA brands)and no problems so far. Just be sure the hydraulic filter is 10 micron.

Good information. I guess Power Trac likes people like me. I just buy everything in quantity, three of this, five of that. That way I have plenty in stock for the next oil change.

What is the price difference from Power Trac to the after market?

Minus the $50 min. fee order.

If it is close, to me it is worth doing like Barry and order in quantity. I hate taking time (plus gas) to go buy things. Besides, I usually buy more than what I went for in the first place!

So if there is not much of a difference in price, for me it would end up to be cheaper.

I wouldn't let the $50 min. order be the cause for me not ordering my filters from pt. I usually try to have extra filters on hand any way that way if for some unexpected reason you needed to change filters earlier than the regular service schedule you would have them on hand.

Where I'm in the process of selling my 180 I only need to do one more engine oil change before I sell it (hopefully ). That's why I'll buy an after market engine oil filter at a local parts store instead of dealing with Powertracs $50.00 min order plus shipping.

I don't remember the price for Power Tracs filters off hand. It's been a while since I ordered any. I will be ordering a new supply very soon. I'll let you know the prices when I do. Maybe Farmall140 can tell you the difference in cost.
