heck.. some parts of florida you can dig a hole and hit water table at 4' some swales in 'lake ' county and other have natural water in them... all the time..

Tractor gets the dyed fuel, but at $ 0.64 cheaper than the road fuel, it is worth it, and readily available.

$0.64 cheaper??? I wish. There's only 2 places around me that I can get it (other than being delivered) Best I've seen in the last couple years is $0.15 less, usually only 10 - 12 cent discount. One place I drive by every weekend, the other only once every couple months.

That is converted to Canadian gallons for our friends south of the border. For me, a diesel is still way cheaper than a gasser, would take a diesel truck over a gasser in a heartbeat.

Ah yes, now that makes more sense. I certainly agree on the diesel trucks, I miss my Duramax every day, test drove a Cummis 1.5 yrs ago that was SWEET but I'm very impressed with the Hemi. I wish road diesel wasn't so much more than gas.

Yeah these jokers around me might knock of 15-20 cents. Barely worth the drive. The deck is stacked against the small business owner with diesel equipment.

I just filled two 5 gal cans this morning. $1.199/liter for coloured. Clear was $1.339

We get 13% sales tax back on road diesel used as farm fuel, and if you keep logs of hours and use, you can get the road tax back off that too, I think another 10 cents or so per litre. Still expensive.

If the EPA has it's way, those limp-noodle tree-huggers will have us all walking or riding bicycles before long.

Or taking public transportation. Motor vehicles must be for government and "special" people use only.
