I recently used a Harbor Freight $60 electric pole saw and was very impressed. It cut 3”-4” grapefruit branches like butter. .

The only caveat is that it’s corded. I have a heavy 100 foot extension cord that cost double what the saw did, and a portable generator if needed.

I have the HF Bauer 20 volt pole saw and it works fine for me, but then I have a lot of Bauer 20 volt tools and batteries. The key with any saw, whether it's gas powered or battery powered is keeping the chain properly dressed and the bar oiler working correctly. I always have at least 2 loops for every saw I have and when one starts building pitch on the heel of the teeth, it's time to change the loop and the dull one goes off to the chain grinder.
