For FedEx Express shipments:

Does the shipper have a FedEx account #? If so, shipping transactions associated with that acct # can be researched. We can also track packages given the origin/destination postal codes and day of shipment. It would also help to have the 1st 3 characters of the customer name and his postal code.

Of course, if he never shipped the package, then there is no way that FedEx can help you. We aren't that good yet!!

Ive tried tracking packages using the zip codes and key word and I have yet to be able to find the package. What am I doing wrong, I enter the zip of both the shipper and destination, I enter the date it was shipped and a key word describing the package and nothing. The same package will show using the tracking number but not the alternate means. Is this method just unreliable or really finicky?

Latest "package" (and its tracking #) were sent this AM via FedEx ground. It'll be a few days before I know if he just sent an empty box in order to buy more time.

As of a couple hours ago, when I last talked with them, EBAY is ALMOST ready to suspend this guys account.

I had a physco that I had bought something from on e-bay. Wouldn't send the item after I paid within 3 minutes of the end of the auction through pay-pal. E-mailed her fifty times and each time she would answer me but call me every name in the book for bothering her. E-mailed e-bay and pay pal, not much they could do. Finally after about three weeks I called the Oregon State Police where she lived and explained the situation and gave them my thoughts on internet fraud, which can turn into a felony because of the state lines. They went and knocked on her door and in three days I had my item, and believe it or not in perfect condition. After the fiasco I received e-mails from other buyers inquiring about her because she was doing the same thing, selling stuff and not shipping it. I really don't know what ever happened to her but I know she changed her user name quite a few times to get through the e-bay system. My opinion, call the State Police in the sellers area and see if they'll help you out. It worked for me.

It is amazing you had her address. You don't always have it if you pay with
Paypal. I am glad you followed thru.

A problem I see with a bad seller is if you leave bad feedback, they retaliate
with bad f/b in return, even if you have paid quickly. Hurts your own rep. I
wonder if there is an effective way to combat such revenge tactics....

I am a long time Ebay user, including selling 4 large/expensive items. I have
even participated 3x in by-invitation prototype evaluations at the Ebay
HQ in Campbell, CA. I have only had a few relative minor problems with
sellers, incl one revenge f/b response. I am now disputing the condition and
serviceability of something I just bought. We will see how that goes....

Two accounts! One for selling, where you maintain a good reputation by providing quality service.

And a second account to bid from. You can give nasty feedback from this one if needed.

Each has to have its own email and I think credit card initially, but mine use the same Paypal account.

All's well that ends well, so they say. I just wanted what I paid for. It FINALLY arrived. Seems there was some wrong-doing along the route, but that's not my worry now.

Second package arrived yesterday morning. It was an empty box. Seller CLAIMED he was "testing FED EX to see if they could get a package from point A to point B". Sounds semi-believable----in a strange sort of way----if only I didn't know what REALLY happened.

Top link arrived yesterday afternoon, from a point of origin in Tennessee---FROM THE INTERNET FRIEND WHO CALLED SELLER AFTER MY TOP LINK SOLD ON EBAY. Seems seller had a bit of remorse, called 3rd party and offered to pay him back, plus a few bucks to rectify situation. Seller CLAIMS he "bought back a 2nd top link and had it shipped to me in order to save his EBAY account from being unfairly closed". Seller claims he's going to help 3rd party find another top link. Mine was shipped "next day freight" from Tennessee, early AM monday.

Seller still insist's he'll give ME bad feedback on EBAY if I do the same to him. EBAY let him know that wasn't right, but can do little to stop him. I've decided to just let it drop. Post NO feedback.

Lesson learned.

I had a situation where the item was junk but was described in mint condition. I talked to the seller about it and he said well it is old and it is mint for the age??? Ended up I had to get Ebay involved in it and I had to re-sell it and the original seller paid the difference back to me. After all was said and done he wanted me to leave positive feedback. I told him it wasn't a postive experience and if I left any feedback it would be negative. He wasn't happy about it and called me a few names which really helped change my mind about him.

Glad everything turned out well for you. If you would, could you PM me the name of the seller so that I can avoid any dealings with him in the future? Take care.

I tired that with a no ship EBAYer. They were still able to leave negitive feedback. I must have won in the end. They are gone from EBAY.

Brent, that feedback limit is not precisely 90 days. It's random for some reason, so an hour before 90 days is not retaliation-proof. There also is, or was, an unpublished technique to leave feedback long after the feedback-input screen no longer shows the auction. (See the Usenet group alt.marketing.online.ebay.)I prefer having separate selling and buying accounts.

Glad to hear you got the linkage bar you were looking for. Seems I remember there was an 11/16 square block welded on opposing sides of the bar to fit the factory wrench which was 11/16th on one end and 1 1/16th on the other? Maybe I'm going too far back to the new MF35.

I had a few good experiences on E-bay and One bad!! The bad was the 135 emblem for my Massey the seller posted a brand-new chrome one and when it was delivered it was painted plastic Blasted him as selling Crap , Then he in turn blasted me as rude and vulgar... and said if I wasn't happy all I needed to do was make a phone and he would have made it right?? It was my ignorance not really knowing how to remedy the situation , but was ticked seeing a painted plastic medallion I mean COME ON DUDE!

I think you owe it to others that shop E-Bay to leave neg. feed back. If no one ever leaves neg. feed back on someone that's done them wrong then, the system don't/ won't work.

And that's what I did finally. After thinking it over, who cares if he gives me a bad feedback. I don't sell on EBAY.

Yes, neg f/b should be given, when deserved. Some of us sell on occasion, too. I have prob only done 100 deals (mostly purchases) on Ebay, in the
past 8-9 years. In the old days, many of us early Ebay users did not even
bother to leave f/b. Who would have guessed that Ebay would get so big?
Since I sell the occasional item, and my f/b # is only 50, my reputation is
very important. It seems a shame that bad sellers can post vengeful,
undeserved f/b. I do hope to list another TLB in the fall or spring.

I'am glad to hear that you left him neg .feed back. What kind on neg. feed back could he leave you any way ? You paid him for the item, the money order was good,What can he say about you, you hounded him about an item that wasn't sent ? I think you did the right thing & also helped others that may buy from these types.I wonder If you were to purchase with a credit card & the item don't get sent, if you can have the credit card co. contact them or put that amount in protest?
