The one thing that amazes me, is the prices of Farmall Cub carburetors. I've seen them get bid up past $100 in no time (from what I've seen) & that's used..... And if you want "new" it's about $150+. Lately, they seem like they are 'cheaper', less people working on their projects I guess. Or no one is looking for them this time of year.

It amazes me that a single carb can go for so much. I guess I got lucky when I found a lot deal (two GM alternators- they work too-, Cub carb & two others) and got everything shipped for just under $70.00. A friend's father has a Cub that's been sitting.... he's too cheap to go find one.....

I have been suprised at how things bid up; I have been looking for stuff to put electrical on my '41 Farmall-A(it has nothing but a hand crank and a kill switch). Generators, starters, switch boxes, WOW!

Seems parting pieces out lately one stands to make more dollars...pair of used(rusty) 6 volts lights $90.00...I don't think so. :(

Every now and then a bargain slips through the cracks. Just enough to make you go back for more. Not exactly "vintage", but this one will replace a worn out one on my tiller for $31.

Now, back to Ebay I go.......

I sold a Ford 2N with a cracked block on Ebay last year...
Without a doubt, I could have made more money by listing the parts individually, but I just didn't have the time strip the parts from the tractor, list them on Ebay, plus pack and ship the parts too! Wish I did, the extra money would have been nice!

Morning Andy.
As one tractor restorer said "Today people just want the part and willing to pay, they don't want to start a junk yard or tie there money up inventory."

If one has the tools and somewhat knowledge and willing to learn, restoring yesterday iron they should break even, but to have someone restore tractor for you $$OUCH$$

Shocker...check out JD L & LA restored or close to it asking price...7K to 9k unheard of,and they are selling.

The IH carbs are getting harder to find.. thus the price. many people are just using zenith carbs from a 18x .. etc.. and a mouth adapter ( rubber hose bushing ).

Same thing with allis g / massey harris pony carbs.. the tsv series... used ones can go in the 200$ range... There are a few repops and 'will' fits' from other applications that are half the price of used.. etc..
