I watched European vacation episode #1 and I liked it. I thought the Tutles were fine. Some put on hollering and vehicle abuse for the benefit of the producers, but otherwise very respectful of the English people I thought.

I'm pretty sure the conflict is somewhat orchestrated. Without it, it would just be some average custom motorcycle building. I'm not carried away with the program, but I like it. There is hardly anything more interesting on TV than watching grass grow anymore, so anything is mildly amusing I will watch. Even grass growing is pretty boring nowadays due to lack of rain.

Yes they were respectful while talking directly to the English people, but they were a terror on the road. In one scene, they thought it was pretty funny when they scared a pedestrian crossing the street. It doesn't matter how nice they were otherwise, that scene alone makes them Ugly Americans.
