Dying/Stalling John Deere Diesel Tractor

john deere 4510 4x4 power reverser 4 cylinder yanmar diesel. here is the situation, water got in the fuel tank i drained all the diesel fuel and water out and replaced the fuel filter. the tractor would crank and run fine until i put a load on the motor such as engaging the pto to cut grass then it would want to stall or cut off completely but then would immediately crank and idle fine. i cleaned the tank a second time and replaced the fuel filter a second time. now it will try to stall or cut off after running at an idle for about one minute, but will crank right back up. before i shoot myself any solutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any chance that there could be a loose fitting or gasket not sealing after the work you did? Might have an air leak under load.

thank you for the areas to check. the fuel lines were intact, no leaking fuel. i rechecked the hose clamps, they were tight . the tractor is self bleeding so i felt i did not have an air leak under load. it seemed to be starving for fuel. i blew air back thru the fuel line back into the tank and the tractor ran like it was brand new. i some how got trash in the tank and it would get on the in-tank fuel filter and cut down the fuel flow. so i have found the problem now to get the tank clean and the in-tank filter taken care of. sorry to be getting back to you so late thanks for your input. les
