Howdy my handle is dw96790. I have been around tractors mostly my whole life. Thas how I learned to parallel park was some post and a cub cadet. My father was foreman of the IH tractor repair shop in a very busy agricultural area of Florida. They pretty much were always growing something, and needing their tractors and whatnot worked on. Not near as good with machinery as my Dad he was old school tuned engines with a screwdriver to his ear like tuning a piano.
However, never found any engine I could not make run, just found a few not worth the effort. I have a D706 right now but thinking of trading it for a Ford 8N I only live on an acre now and feel the D706 is just too big. Will miss the power steering though. I hear the little fords are work horses but need a lot of tinkering to keep them running. Any body got some comments on this let me know.
