Dumping trash barrels

My dad should have been a lawyer. When they outlawed open burning, they left in that you can have a fire for cooking, camping etc. He dropped a couple oaks killed by wilt, piled up the brush and lit it off. Neighbors called the cops (3 blocks from the station!), they came out and started in on him. He then pointed to the sticks sitting 20' from the fire, one with a marshmallow and one with a hotdog. They left.

After that, I would have held a hot dog between my cheeks and called the neighbors to invite them to my rump roast barbecue.

Outlawing burn barrels is lame. So what you do is just stack block in the shape of a barrel and burn that. Still get the same blow torch effect.

You still can't burn garbage. That's been a law for a long time, but why bring barrels into the mix?

Kind of like outlawing guns to prevent murder.

I burned piles of Xmas wrapping which was may smokier and dangerous than using a barrel with appropriate expanded steel ash catchers.

I'm trying to come up with something that I could haul & dump with the FEL. I use round barrels now, but i,m open for ideas. I,ve done a search and not found anything on this. I've been trying to come up with an idea on this, I thought maybe you guys had some ideas on this.

Set up a "U" of two rows of 8x16" block, laid some angles across, cut the bottom out of the barrel and fired it up. ) (I'm right on the highway).

This gave me an idea.

I think I will widen this base so I can just set the barrel off to the side then scoop the stuff up with the FEL.
That would eliminate shoveling and rakeing it into the FEL bucket.

I'm thinking 3 scoops with the backhoe and a rebar grate over the top with the hollow barrel on top of that. When it fills up, you remove the grate, cover and dig a new hole.

Sorry to bring this up so late, but here's an idea.

A little complicated, but should work well. Weld on 3 point brackets, closer to the bottom, with lower links right at the bottom. Back up to the ditch, release top link, and let it flip.
Hope this helps!

What do you burn in the barrels, ALL trash, plastic too?

If you are just burning wood/paper/cardboard, I would think those ashes are good to spread on the ground.

Burying metal burn barrels? Wow, it sounds like you live in China or Mexico.
