Gosh, I love this thing. Never realized how much I'd use it. I love that the hydraulics are self-contained...and that the deep cycle battery has a mini solar array to keep it charged. I ordered this one with a bluetooth controller, so I can dump it from inside the cab (like this picture). What an amazing, helpful invention. This is a 16' Big Tex with upgraded wheels/tires.

I like the idea of bluetooth - wouldn't mind adding that to ours so I could dump from the truck without the cable (would be a lot better for tailgating gravel in and not worrying about the cable for the controller catching something...

I'll bet you could add it. Mine was an option.

+1 !!

I have the 12' model without the Bluetooth. I would have liked the 16' but I use mine on the road. Trailers over 12000# GVW (except some boat and travel trailers) require a CDL in my state. I agree, it's a very handy piece of equipment. Mine is equipped with ramps so I can haul my tractors when necessary. I may add the bluetooth feature at some point.

If you haven't already done so, consider a bed liner. It is very easy to dent the relatively thin steel bed when loading rocks or other heavy debris. I use this product from Farmtek:

Black PolyMax HMWPE Rolls - FarmTek

The material is very slippery and prevents material from sticking to the bed when dumping.

I have to be careful when pulling fully loaded with my L and MX tractors since the weight can easily exceed the max recommended. This shouldn't be a problem for your M5 though.

Curious to learn how you attached these plastic sheets to the metal bed.

I attached the plastic to a 6' long (width of the bed) piece of 1/4" x 2" angle using 10 - 1/2" x 5/16" flat head screws. I attached the angle to the head wall of the bed with 2 - 3/8" cap screws for easy removal. The plastic lays flat in the bed without additional fastening and won't slide out when dumping. It flips up and forward when necessary to clean debris which occasionally gets between the plastic and the steel bed. Only two holes are required in the head wall, none in the bed itself.
