I am looking at buying CK2610 with field cab. I also would like to get a dump trailer. The trailer would be used independently mostly, but on very infrequent occasions I would need it to haul the tractor as well. What is the shortest low profile dump that will fit the tractor? I would love to only get a 10' dump because the storage area where it will live fits best with a 10'.

16' would be real tight. When I have mine in a 16' dump trailer with my loader and backhoe, backhoe jacked sideways into the corner and loader over the front of the dump box.... I had to turn sharp on switchback road and took out the tailgate, $600 OEM LED taillight and back corner of the bed. It was a $4800 repair.

If you do not have the backhoe, and you do not want to ever take a 3 point item with you, a 14' might make it with just tractor and loader with the loader inside.

10'???? I can't haul my side by side in a 10'. ****, my garden tractor would fit... But it wouldn't have tons of space.

While you can haul some tractors in a dump, it usually doesn't work out well. They are just way to small fo most machines & definitely to small if you have impliments.

Skidsteers & mini-exes are noticably more compact & what you see being easily hauled in a dump.

I haul a L3800 on a 16’ car hauler trailer. With the loader sitting on the front of the deck and a box blade attached it only clears the end of the deck by about 8”. If you didn’t have an implement on and backed it on and left the loader sticking off the back you might manage with a 10’ provided the weight distribution is safe. You really need a 12-14’ minimum without implements on the tractor.

Here’s the same tractor on my 24’ trailer. Implements fill a trailer fast. IMG_8395.JPG

On my 18’ equipment trailer my LS XR4040 with the loader and land plane is a tight fit.

I have a 10’ dump trailer. I love having a dump trailer and it fits is all kinds of small spaces but you can’t haul much in it. About 2 yards of gravel is maxed out. There isn’t much hope of hauling equipment in it. You might could fit a small (6000lb) excavator in it but I doubt the weight distribution would be right. Most 10’ dumps have dual 3500lb axles so that will be your biggest issue.

The tractor he’s looking at only weighs 2600 pounds base weigh. With a loader and loaded tires he’d still be within what two 3500 pound axels could carry. Length is the biggest factor. A dump trailer that could only carry 5,000 pounds or so wouldn’t be very useful though. That’s hardly any dirt or gravel.

They are heavy by design though, a 10k titled dump will easily weigh in around 3200-3500 lbs, leaving you 6500 in legal payload.

If the tractor tightly fits in the trailer, but the weight distribution is wrong, the tractor doesn't fit the trailer.
