Trailer goes up fine but takes forever to come down.
Cleaned the tank and filter.
Dealer was no help, said filter was the problem, than said a safety valve on the cylinder which there is none.
Solenoid clicks when the down button

It's gravity down, least the ones I've operated are. Only thing that would make it slow going down is a restriction somewhere, valve not opening fully, hose collapsed or restricted, vent plugged on tank, incorrect fluid etc

Ditto on checking for a clogged hyd oil restrictor or faulty control valve.

take the cap off the tank and try it, that would let you know if it is the vent. but if it was the vent I would think you could see the tank swell with pressure.

How long does it actually take to drop?

Even when new, my Bri Mar 12K dump trailer would take more than 2 minutes to drop when empty.
Sometimes, even longer in cold temps. When loaded, it would come down in 10 seconds.

I replaced the 10W hyd. oil with automatic transmission fluid which helped considerably.
