While I was mowing the lawn, I saw this gold rod laying in grass. It seems this part fell off while I was mowing. I found out what the part is and ordered a new one but I don't even know where it goes on the transmission! I haven't found any good diagrams or instructions to put it back on. Even a good photo would help alot. Can I run the mower without it? What does it do exactly? I'm having to learn as I go and any help would be so helpful!
