If both were ground to 93% lean and the Turkey had grease left in the pan, that tells me you had more fat left in the beef and less fat left in the turkey. In other words, the fat from the turkey went in to the pan. The fat from the beef went into your body.

LOL - you really twisted that around...Tell me, does your wife tell you that you are a manipulator :laughing: To answer your question...I will treat it as a question ...No, the beef was dry when we ate it..it is not near as good as a regular 80/20 ground beef would be..but the turkey was still greasy to eat and left grease in the pan.. We did not try this just once , we tried it several times to be sure...so now that means we know, my Mrs. and I, everything about this topic,...:laughing::thumbsup:

I can't argue with experience.

I'm not a big fan of ground turkey anyway, so it's easy to convince me that the ground beef is better.

My wife once tried to fool me with a ground turkey substitute for Italian sausage in a lazagna.....what a flop THAT was.

have you guys tried the 93/7 beef or 99% turkey?

when making a sauce witht he meet in it.. or a quiche.. it's really hard to tell what the lil peddleized meat is.. especially if you add a spalsh of worshtershire to it.. ( i'm sure I spelled that wrong and am not even going to check it.. :) )

I bought round steak at the market and had the butcher grind it into burger for me, because it was ultra lean. There was 80/20 burger in the meat case, and he tried to tell me it would taste better. "Not for meatloaf," was my response. The next time I was in, he had added ultra lean burger to his inventory, marked "For Meatloaf." I prefer the ultra lean for spaghetti sauce, sloppy joes, meatloaf, etc., but it falls apart on the grill. I figure a well done burger on the grill has most of the fat cooked out of it.

Not that this has anything to do with popcorn.

Since we are talkin about popcorn:D I am too cheap to buy beef when I get all the red meat I need for just a little sweat. I don't add any fat to my ground meat at all and it works great for everything but burgers. I do add just a little prerut deer fat to the sausage. I have to add just a bit of powdered milk to it an then the patties will stick together.

Kyle, I read the message the same as you.. But that is grease and we were on Popcorn, but it all goes hard inside our guts when we enjoy a cold beverage with our meals? I do eat ground turkey, but don't enjoy it much. Much better as the whole bird at Thankgiving, it makes me sleepy when i am finished. Popcorn is a snack, unless you eat a whole lot.
