My L245DT does not have a mid PTO which kinda puts a crimp in my mid-mount mower plans. I have seen mmm's with a parallel shaft gearbox driven from the rear PTO that drives a forward shaft. Those set-ups seem rare and pricey. I have cast iron gear driven New Process transfer case from a Ford F250 4x4 that with some shaft adaption would provide the same function. The input to output shaft center drop distance is about 9" which seems to be perfect for the Bota even considering the Woods FEL mount. Plus, i could put it in low range if needed. Anybody try this scheme before?
