RichZ, I personally would prefer the ducks over the geese, or peacocks. The duck eggs you can find a select market for, never tried the goose eggs (market wise) and frankly don't know anything about the peacocks. The obvious about the peacock is the noise factor, from relatives that did have them, I can say that there were times they were ready to strangle the lot of them.
Geese? Well, must admit, you can get some good eating out of roast goose! The eggs didn't favor well in some ways with my two brothers and I, not to mention many cousins. Why? Well rotton goose egg fights were fun, but them turkeys don't break easily! They'll bounce right off the back of your noggin, a barn wall, etc. four or five times at least before some of them will break. You also have the added factor of an onery gander that will just love to nail a leg or bun every chance possible. We had one that chased us kids around the barnyard many times, we complained to Dad, and he just grinned, until that dodo head nailed Dad coming out of the outhouse door. Dad grabbed his head and gave him a good wringing, wasn't funny then, and we did have roast goose for Sunday dinner!
Ducks are just right, IMHO, except for that 'stuff' that always seems to get stuck on your shoes or boots! Eggs are good for baking and frying, unless you are alergic to them as my wife is.
