I have a JD 4710 with a front end loader that is working but does not work well with respect to the Dual SCV W/ Connector. The lifting and lowering function work just fine and the joy stick snaps back to neutral position on its own. The bucket tilt is another story. It will operate in both directions just fine; however, the joystick does not return to a neutral position on its own. At times it partially returns but I almost always have to find the neutral position by force. I am assuming that the valve is the problem and there is something wrong with the spool/spring that needs to be serviced. I have attached a diagram from JD and was hoping for someone to point me in the right direction as to how to service this unit if that is indeed the correct assumption on my part. If not, any advice is appreciated.

You might try opening the cans on the bottom of the valve, and inspecting for rust, broken springs, etc.
