Wiring and pipes complicate things.
No problem.

BCP's posting is a criminal offence.

My experience with rot is that it was almost always caused by poor flashing. So be sure that proper flashing is part of the rebuild/replace project.

Some pics of the affected areas will be helpful.

Sounds like wet rot if it started at a window and the floor below it.

I feel removal and replacement of rotten wood is the best solution. Been doing this for 30 years.

Floor joist repair is tricky because of the weight resting on them. They will need support under them if they need to be removed. If you can’t remove them, you can cut off the bad section and sister another full floor joist alongside the old. Wiring and pipes complicate things.

Wood doesn’t dry rot especially around windows frames. Stopping the leak is the first thing to do.
Yup definitely a water leak. Poor flashing or cawlk around window and door opening cause this.

If you have vinyl siding now is the time to install new construction windows. They go in way quicker and seal from leaks alot better. With replacement windows your always left with some shitty trim/flashing job to to. I have done both and prefer new construction windows by far.
