Drove a DK35

Well, I had a chance to drive my first Kioti. I FINALLY stumbled across a Kioti dealer about an hour away from me, and since I was going to that area on some other business, I decided to swing by and see what he was like.

Well, there was a DK35 sitting on the lot, so I talked with the salesman that came out to talk with me when he saw me climbing around on the machine. Turns out he's the owner. He had the key in his hand, and asked if I wanted to take it for a spin around the south forty!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif When I asked him where I could I could drive it, he said he wasn't kidding, and pointed to a wide open area adjacent to his lot. He said he owned it all, and I could go out there and do anything I wanted. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Well, I didn't have a lot of time, but I couldn't pass this up! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif So I fired it up and away I went. Boy, was that a smooth running machine. It didn't have a FEL, so I couldn't dig into the pile that was sitting there, but I put it through it's paces. I have to say, that until I drove this shuttle shift, I was convinced I would never get anything but a hydro. But that shuttle shift worked so slick, I could see getting it.

I didn't have time to wheel and deal, but he told me that the price was $13,000.00 as it sat. I'm not sure what comes standard, but this one had a mid PTO, deluxe 3pt, rear work light, folding ROPS with a sun shade. Sounded like a good price, but I had been up front and told him I wouldn't be buying for awhile yet. He said that was O.K. and proceeded to show me around his operation, including the shop.

I have to say that this guy was the best dealer I've met so far. He absolutely made me feel like I was the most important guy on earth, and that was with him knowing that I wasn't buying! There's no question in my mind that if I decide to deal with him, he'll put together one heck of a package.

Well, just thought I'd let all of you Kioti owners know that some other guys might be considering joining your ranks!

I'm glad you got to try out a new DK.
Now maybe you will have an idea why I like mine so well!
I am also glad you got to try the shuttle shift.

Garry your not going to change your signature to orange now are you. Actually that sounds like a very good deal for a 35 horse tractor. And a right likeable dealer to.

I know that you and I had our hearts set on getting you set up with a blue tractor. But the sooner we get you set up with any tractor the better we all will feel.

The only thing you mentioned not standard on a DK is the sun shade.
One thing I highly recommend is the adjustable lower link arms on the 3 point.
The DK's come standard with these and it makes a huge differance hooking up implements.

Seriously - I'm glad it was a good experience. All the Kioti dealers I met with seemed like good folks and they seemed like quality machines to me (that's why I considered them before my purchase.) NOT to dig on any other brand, but it wouldn't surprise me if you did decide to go Kioti after evaluating the others as they do offer a lot of machine for the money.

I'm glad you got to try one, Golf. I'm also glad you found a good dealer.
They are alot of tractor for the money and the dealer has given you one heck of a good price.
Just remember shopping/trying out is all part of the fun.

Vince, I can't honestly say right now. They both have their good points. I admit I always leaned toward <font color=blue>Blue</font color=blue>. But in my own defense, I also always said I would leave my options open!

Ranchman - That's funny! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif But I know what you mean. After reading everything that was ever posted about the hydro's, I figured it was the only way to go. But after driving the shuttle, I have to say it has to be just about as easy. Now all you die hard hydro guys - I DON'T want to start another argument!! Thanks BTI. You know, I've talked with quite a few dealers since I started looking around. But this guy absolutely floored me! He is either the absolute best con man going, or he truly wants to treat his customers right. And I've gotta believe it's the latter, cause this dealership is nothing fancy. It's called Bil-Bar Farm, and that's exactly what it is - a farm. He's reconditioned two large barns - 1 for his service department and 1 for inventory. His office is out of the main floor of a farm house. I 'spose I should've mentioned that he also sells golf carts!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Now honest, I didn't know that until I got there!

But if I had to decide right now what tractor I'd get, it'd have to be the DK35 just based on the dealer alone!

Mike - Thanks for the kind words. I certainly want to be able to contribute to TBN, regardless of what color I end up with.

Another nice service this guy provides is the same attachment set up as on a Bobcat. He has a local fellow making these for him, and attachment will handle anything that will go on a Bobcat. You can even get the bucket mounted post hole digger! He can't keep these things in stock they're so popular.

The funny thing that really happened was after I got home. My wife was looking over the brochures I brought home. She asks me if she can ask a question. I figure she's going to say something about the fact that I already have brochures for the "orange" tractor. But she asks if I can get a cab on any tractor I decide to buy. I explain that you can't get the kind of cab she saw on the DK50 on the DK35. She says then I think you should get the DK50!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif You know how hard it is trying to explain that you can't really use that large of a tractor when she wants you to get it?? /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
