I think Kubota say you can do it - My dealer says no.

Anyone do it and does it damage your deck??

It may depend on your tractor/deck combo, but my B2920 and 60" deck has the instructions on how to do it in the manual. There are a little set of ramps on the deck that need to be set in place. From what I've read, it's just about as easy to lift the tractor up with the FEL and pull the deck out sideways. That's also what the dealer recommended.

Back in the 70s or 80s Kubota was raveing about their drive over mowers just as JD's doing today.
JD is about 20 to 30 years behind the times.

I have a G1800. I used to drive over the deck to install it. The deck is strong enough to take the weight of the tractor so no problem there.

I used to drive up and almost over, small ramps help or the front wheels kept pushing the deck away, but I'd then lift the front of the tractor with a car jack and gently lower it down. I was really afraid that unless just right, driving over and dropping down on the other side I could end up with a punctured oil pan or worse.

I now use my FEL to lift the front of the G1800 and I then slide the deck in from the side.

You can drive over the deck but it's a risky move.

Yes, you can drive over the deck, but you can also turn the scalp rollers sideways and just roll it out. You don't have to lift the tractor with the FEL either as there is plenty of clearance.

I won't drive over my deck even if I could...easy enough to turn the scalp rollers sideways and roll the unit under the tractor.

IMO, its more work to drive over it than it is to just pull it in from the side.

I'll never pull another MMM. That within itself is a pain in the rear. If there is ample room to gracefully pull a mowing deck without frustration, I'll eat my hat. Exempting my method as a result of a first and last episode of the easy-glide method... (not).

My BX1500 doesn't have turnable casters (48" deck).
So, I built a small platform with casters - just a piece of 3/4 plywood.
I also drive the traxctor up on two 2x4s, once for the rear axle, and one for the front.
This gets it high enough to get the platform comfortably under it.

When I first got my B7100HST with the RC60-71B mower deck I tried removing it from the side. I didn't have enough clearance between the wheels and the gear housing wouldn't clear without lifting up the tractor. I've since got the owners manual on the mower deck and it says to drive over it. When I put it back on I did just that and everything was fine.
