Rotary Cutter Driveline contacting the cutter deck

Hey Guys, I have a Woods BB60 rotary cutter with a "floating" top link. It came with the Kubota L3410 I bought a while back. I have a bit of a problem that I can't seem to figure out. When I raise the 3 point arms up, it doesn't raise the back of the deck up evenly with the front, rather it just picks up the front portion of the cutter where the hitch is attached. This essentially just hikes up the front part leaving the tire still touching ground and the driveline now resting on the deck - bad idea when the PTO is still turning. It seems to hinge on this floating top link which is new to me, my old bushog just had a static top link like any other implement. I've attached a pic of link from the instruction manual. Any suggestions would be helpful as I'm close to eating a hole in my driveline and deck....Thanks!

So why can't you tighten the top link to take the slack out of the floating link?

W/o slack, the 3pt will raise the deck (mostly) parallel to the ground. The point of the float is to provide a little give when going through dips and lets the tailwheel hold up the deck for a moment. W/o give, you bend the A-Arms.

Tailwheel normally is not on the ground.

I have the same problem with my BB72X on a Woods quick hitch. Fortunately, I have a hydraulic top link, so as long as I remember to lift the tail wheel with the top link a bit, I can then safely lift the mower with the three point hitch. Just then have to remember to extend to top link again after I lower the mower, to get the 2" clearance required on the floating top link.
