Kubota B7610
Did your new tractor come with a drawbar? Here's the deal. I purchased a 7610 with a backhoe and part of the framework for the hoe sits inside the drawbar area. So did my drawbar get removed to install the backhoe and is lying on the dealer's shelf or does it not come with one in the first place?

When I bought my 1995 B7100, I did not get a drawbar with it. The dealer said it was not included, so I bought one from him; pretty expensive, too. But then when I bought the 1999 B2710 from the sale dealer, he delivered it with a drawbar. I did not have a backhoe with either tractor; just front end loaders.

Harvster,i bought my B7610 in sept. of '04. I ordered a Woods backhoe on mine,it was installed by the dealer, and mine came w/a drawbar installed.
On my machine they could'nt get away without puttin a drawbar on it because my Woods has the PTO pump and the drawbar is the only thing that keeps the pump from spinning when installed.I thought i saw in the picture next to your post that you have a Kubota brand backhoe, but that should'nt
matter as far as im concerned, you should have still got one.
Im also pretty sure my drawbar was a Kubota bar because the paint matches the frame color on the tractor exactly, where as the mount for my backhoe is black.I dont think it was sent along with the Woods mount.I'll bet yours might be layin on the shelf somewhere.I assume you got your 3ph arms, did'nt you??? Little joke there. digger2

Harvster,

For what you had to pay for your new baby and BH, I would think that the dealer should have handed you the drawbar. Keep the silly caps and give me the equip!!

Yes the drawbar should come with the tractor. A tractor gives "tractive
power" that is, it pulls. You need a drawbar to pull with. IMHO

my new B7800 came with the drawbar. The dealer was even good enough to give me the big clevis that was attached to the drawbar. The clevis was used to tie the backend of tractor down unto the trailer that he used to deliver the tractor.

We sell orange, blue, romanian, and red tractors and they all come with drawbars. Some dealers do remove and sell . We don't. Look at your operators manual and contact your Kubota service center in your area.

I bought my 7610 in late 94 and it came with a drawbar. The way the manual reads this is not an optional piece of equipment but should come standard. I think you dealer owes you some money or a drawbar.

The drawbar maybe there. On some tractors, the drawbar can be pushed forward in its holder, pinned in place and almost out of view. Take a closer look to see if it is there.

Okay help me with the proper titles/names is a draw bar the multi holed piece of steel about 3/4 think and 2" wide X 26" with 7/8 pins on each end that goes into the lower 3pt arms ie 90 deg to tractor motion? what do you call the much thinner piece that comes back parrellal that has rollers/pins on first piece to hold an angle that most people drop a pin into to pull a wagon
and has front hookup under rear axle? First one spins if you don't have a lock on it. My BX-23 just came with a triangle piece of steel that is part of the 3 pt holder on with a hole in back for what ever. my 3pt box was factory sealed and owners manual makes no mention of anything else so think that is all.

Just trying to learn the "ropes"

Drawbars are a bit confusing. The first one you described, that fits between the lower links of the 3-point hitch, is generally referred to simply as a "drawbar" while the one that attaches under the rear axle and sticks straight out behind is called a "swinging drawbar". It does not actually swing on some tractors, while on others it does. The ones that do are pinned or fastened at the front and can be "swung" to either side and locked in place with a couple of pins. It enables you to pull from off center.

Hi Bird:

That makes sense. Guess you could pin the swinging DB to the triangle piece used in the 3 pt arms with the reg DB in the sockets and what ever roller/pins to keep swing DB in place on the reg DB. Mostly(only place I had seen) was on an old 8N that was used to give a little more length for trailer pulling on the IH 806 it was just a 2X3 piece sticking straight back with a hole for a pin to drop down.

Thanx Again will MD it now!! Pat R

Finally contacted the dealer and my drawbar is there waiting for me. So, if you got your tractor with a backhoe you might want to check to see if you have the drawbar.
