I guess moving 1 trailer that would be fine. When i am moving trailers it's typically 5 or 6 of them in my back lot so the 3 point ball is ideal as the 3 point lifts them and i don't have to mess with the jacks. I just welded it up out of scrap and slide my hitch into the receiver.......

Never saw this before. Anyone have experience with it? Wouldn't mind trying it around the barn but what about highway use? Can it be trusted?

I think if you stick to the weight ratings you should be fine. For my truck I use a 3 way hitch which has a much higher rating.

I’ve never had one myself, but know people who use them all the time. I’ve personally never heard of a problem occurring.

I have the exact same interchangeable ball set. I've used it for many years around the property and have towed up to 11,000 pounds with the tractor, which is 3K over the rated limit for the ball with no problems. I have never used it on a truck and if I did I would never go beyond the 8000 pound rated limit. If it's rated for highway use up to 8000 pounds I'm sure it's fine for that.
