Looking for a drawbar. No longer available as original equipment. Nothing on ebay. Could perhaps make one myself but don't know the material, dimensions or tempering. If anyone knows of where to get one or where I might find specs, it would be appreciated.

Looks like a straight bar with 4 holes per 777parts.net | 404 - Page Cannot Be Found

Do you have the tractor? Tractor Supply has a couple that might fit:
CountyLine® Drawbar, Swinging - Tractor Supply Co.
Tisco Swinging Drawbar, C5NN805A - Tractor Supply Co.
Tisco Swinging Drawbar Kit, SDA6 - Tractor Supply Co.

I saw that one too, but it didn't match the configuration I was expecting.
Perhaps someone out there knows if there is a cross reference for other drawbars?

Just measured mine. It's 29" long(total) and 2" wide x 1 1/4" thick
The pin that holds it is 3/4" or a hair less.
Didn't take the ball off,but I would guess the hitch hole is over 1"

Thanks very much. Any reason to suspect it might be hardened? Also, just to be sure, the bar is dead straight with no step and has four holes?

Yes ,dead straight,4 holes, don't know why it has 2 small holes? Probably just good steel?
I see one on ebay under "Drawbar,Johndeere T29898" that would work. It's too long, but if you used the 3rd hole for the pin,it would be about the right length.

Many (most?) are hardened.

Thanks for all of your help. Turns out that the T29898 item number is the same size (except for length) as the CH14119. You would think the John Deere folks would be able to tell me that! And it was a good $70 cheaper than what I had seen for other parts similar.
Cheers!

I broke one of those on my old Massey 135 when a sloppy pintle ring bound up on the hitch. I seem to remember the break was sharp and crystallized like it was hardened or at least heat treated.

This was a while ago but I'm in the same boat. Did you get the larger/cheaper T29898? Did it work on your 1050?
