Does anyone know the psi of the hydraulics on X700's? I'm considering the DR Log Splitter that runs off of the hydraulics on the 3 point hitch, I maybe moving to 40 acres in Montana with trees close to the Canadian border. And yes, a FWD X749 would have been a better choice over a X744, but at the time of purchase I did not have a Girlfriend with 40 acres on timber and a Log Home, lol.

The PSI is 924 for what I read and this will not work! Now thinking of a PTO one, any suggestions, it does not need to be large, it would be used infrequently.

After researching this more thoroughly and I should have before the post, a gas operated tow behind is more feasible.

I'd agree with the tow-behind. Much more freedom than the 3 ph mounted splitters (IMO).

Good luck with the girl-friend deal. :)

I would go with the tow behind splitter since in most cases you would get more bang for the buck on these as they are mass produced. I built a real nice 3PH log splitter for my boss when I worked in hydraulics years ago but I had an unlimited budget to work with.:D

Post pictures of the boat I mean log home and property.
