Been battling the dpf on my X5 (suv) for years, eventually had it deleted. I tried to clean it out myself back in the day, but in that truck the engine is way too crammed and the dpf is difficult to get to.
Wondering if anyone here has attempted to yank that crap out of the tractors out and clean it themselves? Since the dpf's are easier to get to in tractors... (I'm just trying to prepare myself for when it's time)
You figure ash/soot deposits in holes. There are cleaners out there that will dissolve the carbon (acetone, naphtha etc.), and pressure washers/compressed air options to blow it out... start early, so it never builds up to the point where it's completely solidified and won't budge.
