Cat 953 does not compare to Cat 931. 953 is much more powerful.

I was a Caterpillar salesman. You cannot grade with a front end loader but you can with a dozer. The D 4 is a larger machine than the 931. The 931 is the equivalent of the D 3. It shares many of the same components.
Buy the D 4 or just rent a dozer for a weekend.
