Downtime

As most of you noticed, we had a bit of downtime.

Our database server just started refusing connections and we were stumped as to why for a while. Bad timing was that our lead sysadmin had just sat down to dinner and couldn't do much from the resturant. But as you can see, we got it sorted out.

Sorry about that.

Ahhhhhhh, it's back. My right clicker finger was starting to twitch. TBN withdraw symptoms suck.

I think I just jammed something up.

I put a harmless (I thought) reply into the ARC Gouging Tip thread in Build-it-Yourself and instead of seeing my new post, it returned:

There seems to have been a problem with the TractorByNet.com database.
Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.

Now, going to the Today's Posts index, that Arc Gouging thread shows as the most recent thread and me as the most recent poster, but attempting to open the thread returns the error message cited above.

(a few minutes later) Now I see a couple of other subsequent posts in unrelated threads. But I still can't get into the Arc Gouging thread.

Did I break TBN?

Now let's see if this posts.....

Edit - this posted ok. I wonder what happened in that other thread?

Can everybody but me read that Arc Gouging thread ok?

Rusty, thanks for your feedback.

I couldn't access that thread for 12 hours so I asked a moderator to look into it.

Whatever he did, made it visible again.

At your request, I deleted the two duplicate posts, but that shouldn't have had anything to do with your ability or inability to access the thread. In fact, I guess that was after you were able to access it again.

Bird, thanks!

For 12 hours all I saw was the error message. Then finally I could see the thread but discovered the duplicates.

Thanks for cleaning that up!
