Does anyone know a site that I can download a manual for the TC40D? I found a hard copy for over $500  but can't find anything that's just quick and easy.

If on a budget, then cheesy IT manual gets you there 70% under $30 , add the NH website parts list then your 80% there and the rest you're on your own depending how comfy you are turning a wrench. I don't believe if there is a free download able manual anywhere.

Guys are pretty helpful around here with the same type of a tractor if you have specific question.

Thanks!

Now, since I'm new to the site :( what is "IT" manual? I'm pretty good figuring out how to break things, with or without a wrench, so that might be a good starting point.

Basically, I'm getting the tractor either before, during or after dove season in Alabama (or all of the above) and so just wanted to get a jump-start on reading the manual, which I'll get when I get the tractor. Sort of eager right now :p

Heck....is there some other brand or generic manual that shows best ways to use a tractor that's downloadable for free? I've seen this one, a good one for the beginner, so does anyone have something more? http://www.opico.com/documents/M246-M146.pdf

IT = Impement & Tractor. Just enter that in your search engine.

I think that you are looking for the owners manual, not the repair manual.

If you want to know how to run it, get the owners manual.
If you need to take it apart, you need the repair/ service manual.

The price you found was for the Repair Manual as stuartshomepc described. The operators manuals are available from $35 to $40 online with the $40 one being OEM. Just type "TC40D Operators Manual" into your search engine and you'll see ssbtractor and walts tractor come up as sources.

As far as finding an online manual you can read, I don't think that exists. Sorry.:(

Welcome to TBN. Why are you having to wait until September (dove season) to get your tractor? Does somebody use it in some way related to dove season?

Roadhawk,
If you're already working with a dealer, they might loan you an operators manual until you buy your tractor.
Is the dove hunting that good in Alabama that need a front end loader to haul your daily bag limit?

We're so rural where I live that nobody had a trailer in stock so I had to order one and it won't be in until next week. And now I'm having to order the chains and binders online since nobody around here has everything I need either, and what they do have is pretty expensive. My brake controller should be in today so I can get that installed. The tractor is my dad's about 650 miles away, and since I still have to wait for all this "stuff" to come in, I'll just pick up the tractor when I go up there for our annual dove hunting outing.

The tractor's ready to go...just waiting on me!

The tractor is my dad's and it's not worth it to send it to me with just this much time left before I go up there.

I wish the limits were that generous! Love them birds on the grill!
