I can't find the video I wanted, but this gives you the idea. They use backhoes to unload rail cars from the top. The video I saw a few years ago was for a guy getting on top of a larger set of cars. Had steel hooks on his front bucket to grab the top rail of the car to get started up. Once on top they jump from car to car.

JC Balls and Sons are a big excavation company in the UK. Just about every issue of Classic Plant magazine has a restored peice owned by them.

Actually FYI JCB is J C Bamford. Have you seen this Liebherr Excavator climbing tower - YouTube I reckon that's incredible, and not a safety net in sight

JCB as the equipment maker was started by Joseph Cyril Bamford in the late 1940s.
J C Balls and ons like the sign in the bucket on the second machine is a large contractor in the UK . THe first little hoe inthe picture with the blade one the was a JCB Grave Digger. I think it was their first or second machine in their business.
