I'm thinking about clearing out all my old John Deere stuff and getting something new. However, I have NO idea what a fair price would be.

Well, I'm not sure, either. Doesn't look like anyone is willing, so I'll jump into the pond /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif...

Out here, if all is as you say, it would be at least $5K, I think. Could go either way, I suppose, but if I were to try and price it that is where I'd probably start. Shoot, there's a good vintage tractor site, but I couldn't find it with a quick search. Poke around for it - perhaps someone else can provide a link? The other place to look for ideas would be eBay - try to find what you have and see what it's going for.

Thanks for giving it a shot. Your a little higher than I expected, but hey, as you said it could go either way.

Yeah, I probably am on the high side, after thinking about it some more. But it is much easier to have a buyer talk you down to what you really want than it is to tell them that you want more than you asked for /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif...

Does it have the Onan twin cylinder engine? What is the paint condition, where are you. These are the questions needed to make an accurate determination of value. I bought a JD 318, 83 model last year for $2100. 720 hours on the frame and less on the engine cause it had been replaced. This might help a bit. There are a couple of other sites that a lot of JD folk hang out Weekend Freedom Machines, and John Deere Garden Tractor club on Yahoo. Hope this helps.
