Done Deal! JD 4120

Well fellas, I just got back from the dealer with my father-in-law (man with the money). Forget the eHydro. They had a 12x12 w/Power Reverser in stock and R4 tires...so they settled on that unit after seeing it in action. Hope to have her home by early next week or sooner.

Here's the specs:
- John Deere 4120 with 12x12 tranny & power reverser
- 400X Loader w/Heavy Bucket
- Rear wheel weights
- R4 tires

Price with taxes will come in right at $25,000

I can't wait to get this beauty out in the field digging up rocks and so on /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'll be sure to post pictures when it comes home and it stops raining!

Can someone please tell me what all comes standard with the tractor, such as owner's manual and any other gadgets, pins, etc? I want to make sure the dealer gives us everything when they deliver it.

So anything that comes with the 400X loader and the 4120 tractor.

I got an owner's manual for both tractor and loader. Each accessory will have one. Three point arms were seperate for mine because the backhoe was on. Otherwise, a John Deere cap if they are feeling charitable! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Doesn't hurt to ask for some touch up paint,

Be sure and wax it real well before you get it dirty... My wife thought I was nuts, but it sure stays nice... (That was the last time i ever cleaned it...)

I agree with the wax thing. My riding mower stays nice and slick...so the dirt just rinses right off usually.

Since you're taking delivery in the cold season - ask them to throw in a bottle of Deere "winter" fuel additive. Couldn't hurt. And a hat for you AND the FIL. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oh my God! I was humming that Kenny Chesney song this morning..."She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and as soon as I logged on to Sirius Satellite Radio on the web this morning....that song was playing on the Prime Country channel! LOL Too funny. I'm thinking about this dang tractor too much!

Greetings! We plan to buy a JD4120 from our local dealer, and hoped you would comment on our quotation. My wife and I test drove the
tractor and loved it! 4120 with R1's, hydro, 400X with heavy bucket, and 448 hoe for $33350. Can anyone predict what will become of Deere's
financing special after February? We could buy now, or wait until spring if a better deals looms ahead. Thanks.

I'm very happy with ours. I can't speak to it's performance in relation to the other models because all I was used to before this was an old 1950's Ford 640.

We appreciate your response. Hopefully we'll hear from others with
20 series tractors. We are at the stage where we're gathering as
much info as possible before shelling out that huge investment! Luckily we have a fantastic dealer nearby, here in southeastern Vermont, who is willing to let us have the 4120 for a week on approval. If it doesn't perform up to our needs - back to the dealer it goes, with no questions asked! We really would like for this little tractor to work out.
