My shepherd steered me across the road around a copper head 1 night. I never used to walk with a flash light since we had street lights every 200ft down the street.

She was pretty insistent that we cross the road. Being on a dead end street with little traffic we tended to wander anyway.

After we got down the street a little further I happened to look back and that's when I saw the copperhead stretched out by the ditch on the other side of the street.

She was told she was a good girl, and got extra treats. I also pay very close attention to her now when she starts getting insistent that we avoid a certain spot. Flash light comes out and I start inspecting things really closely.

One thing I've discovered is dogs love pick ups and golf carts. This is Tag doing his best Rin Tin Tin impression before the glaucoma took his sight.

Oh ya, we have a kelpie here who loooovvvves to smell good.

I had a heeler that loved to roll in fresh cow chit. Took her to a roping that lasted till dark. Loaded up and let her in the truck. Started down the road and what! NO _ WHATS that smell!!!? Turn the light on and she's covered in fresh chit head to toe in my new truck! Somebody road in the horse trailer all the way home and it wern't me ha ha ha
