Doesn't want to go into gear.

I'm completely at sea here, so basic instruction would help.

I've not yet checked any fluids or clutch because I don't know where to start. I do ride the clutch - there seems to be no other way to control the speed of the beast. But I've only put maybe 5 hours on this since I got it.

Can someone get me started to do basic checks to troubleshoot this?

Pls describe the issue as thoroughly as you can. Can u stop in gear while the engine is running?
