Welcome to TBN ! Are you reffering to the old M4500 DT ? If so no the old M4500 DT had 16 F/gears and 4 R. I also believe DT stands for direct transmission, gear not hydro.

DT stands for 'Dual Traction, but this designations is used on models with gear drive.

There is no L4500 as far as I know?

Thanks, Boone. Yes I got mixed up. It is the M4500DT that I am interested in. 'Looked at a lot of tractor ads today. 'Trying to help out my son.

The M4500DT, will be gear drive, but may have a shuttle shift. Our old L3750DT has a hydraulic shuttle shift that lets you change direction without clutching, but it's still a manual trans.

The Hydro models will have HST instead of DT after the model #.
