Front-End Loader Does the Ford 19-209 (711) 1 Arm Loader Fit on my 1968 Ford 2000 3 Cyl Diesel?

Just lost my post when my Bakers 100% cacao bar box tagged my keyboard.

Yesterday prepped and primed most rear section of the 711 loader arm. Today make it Ford Blue with TSC age specific blue enamel and got it baked on then prepped the second section and got it primed and baked. Tomorrow with be trial and error fitting the front mounting bracket to the most rear section of the loader arm.

In 2010 Soundman wrote "for the 3 cyl machines, the front bracket can be complicated depending on the type of front bolster you have. lcg models for instance use a very weird looking bracket." and now I agree. Our front bracket is the thickness of the front bolster too far forward to fit as planned.

At least I have that 3/8" steel plate that I bought last week to make a new front bolster from scratch so we plan to cut and bore two pieces to fit right then weld them on the backside of our 1/2" shop made front bracket that came cut into two pieces due to a modification to fit on a 3000 gas burner.

Where there is a will there is a way I hope. :)

Assuming we have the same tractor, and loaders, I'll really need some help when you get yours set up. It might be easier for me to have your shop make one for me and I'll pay him and have it shipped north. But for sure I'm going to need pictures and a template or my loader will be a conversation piece.

First pull the big hing pin so you only have to mount the upright section to the hip pin.

This will give you the end point requirement so you can start designing your front bracket required in your case since there's no one size fits all.

I am at the shop to get you a new photo when the owner gets back from a parts run or service call.

Thanks. The photo should help. I would think that if I had the hip joint fastened, along with the bottom bracket, attached, and then square up the loader, all on a nice flat surface it wouldn't be too tough to fashion that front piece, but do you not think that cast bracket with the broken bolt hole was the correct one (my post #4 I think).

711 front bracket too far forward.jpg

This second shot shows how the front bracket came out too far forward to carry the load as it should so we will extend the hole depth towards the 711 first arm section by 3/4"/\.Does your bolster look like the one one our 1966 3000?

Yup.. the 3 cyl jobs messed up a good thing for easy fit brackets.

My bolster and front end looks the same as yours....I'm curious now whether that bracket in my post #4 is actually the right one. It seems it would hang straight down and require the arm to "swing in" under the bolster a bit. But maybe that would make the geometry work and everything would fit.

This shouldn't be this hard. Ford made these until 1970 at least, and they fit on these tractors. There are parts manuals and instruction manuals out there for these later model 3 cylinders. Just need to find someone that has all the information and/or patterns.

the arm does set under the front of the tractor a bit, not out to the side.

Now I've got another problem. I don't think the hip bracket I have fits a Ford 2000 3 cyl. There isn't enough clearance for it to fit. It looks like I need the "flatter"version which I thought was for the older Fords. 19-384 brackets.jpg

Gayle - I can't quite see how yours bolts up....maybe if you snap a photo I can see where I've gone wrong.
