(Rear tractor tire with ballast liquid in it) Got a flat yesterday went to tire shop had them fix it, they did not add the liquid to the tire. I put it back on the tractor, the other tire has the liquid in it. Will it make a difference?

If the tractor is small (under 20HP) with small rear tires it probably won't matter as much but larger tractors 20HP and up have larger tires and liquid ballast weight in the tire can be 300 lbs. and higher. That will make a difference with traction and also make the loaded tire side heavier which could lead to a rollover due to an unbalanced tractor on uneven ground.

What George said. If its a larger tractor - I'd definitely have the repaired tire filled again.

Or do it the cleaner and neater way that will cost a lot less for the next flat repair,
drain the other tire and flush and drain again and buy some rear wheelweights,
iron can be expensive, but I have decided after many years that I really don't
like liquid fill, that's why I put 1200 pounds of iron on mine. Thinking about a bit more at times :)

Water in the tires DOES have the advantage over wheel weights, of lower center of gravity...if that makes a difference to the owner...

You'd think that someone would make "spinners" that mount on the wheels but have all of the weight on bearings, below the axle.

Hey, patent that idea and it just might sell (but not to me). Cylindrical weights have been working fine for several decades. Half the weight is always below the axle to provide a lower center of gravity anyway. IF you made a "spinner" the load would never be balanced. I sure would hate to be going down the road at 20-25 MPH and the spinner lock up.
