to Kubota tractor owners? Does this mean original Kubota implements or just other color coordinated shortline MFG's?

I just got my first non Kubota implement that is orange! Just happened to get a used Pegoraro tiller that is orange. Other than the FEL, MMM and front snow blower (all Kubota) I have a rainbow of colors for the imlements. When I repainted them I used what ever color of auto paint I had left from painting cars. I like the green best, makes it harder to find whats hiding in the hedge row. Plus the wife can't see if I got anything new! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My preference is to have ONE color implement. I like them to be the same color as each other because I tend to touch up the paint to prevent, or at least minimize rust.

Does it have to be orange? No. In fact I don't have any orange implements. My box blade is tan. My H.D. scraper blade is blue. The L.D. scraper blade I just got rid of was blue, but it started out black & rusty before I took a grinder to the rust. My finish mower was Befco Orange/Red. . . but faded so last fall I stripped and painted it blue to match the scraper blades. My PHD is red. It needs to be touched up as it is usually left outside and showing premature signs of wear & tear, so that will become blue when it comes time to strip it down and paint it.

Why blue? Because that was what I had in my cabinet and it is easy to find Ford Blue paint just about anywhere. The same can be said about J.D. Green paint. Even the supermarket has Ford Blue and J.D. Green paint.

Henry said that you can have it any color you want as long as it is black..... I prefer that the implement work well more than I prefer the color... give the choice, I prefer more green in my pocket and more orange on the greens......

The number one criteria is value - balancing cost against apparent utility and durability.

Having said that, looking good is somewhere down on the priority list. I am very happy that my Woods backhoe matches the color of the tractor, but not bothered in the least that other implements do not.

Just don't try to sell me anything plaid.

When I go do some tractor work, my cusomer don't give a hoot what color the equipment is. All that matter is they are happy with the job when it's done. One thing though is that when dealing with people you better have good running machine and not junk. Nothing more embaressing then breaking down on a job.

For many years, I never worried about the color of my implements.

Now, maybe I am getting a little more cranky.

I think I try a little harder to keep it looking nice.

I just feel a little more proud of it, when it is matching color.

Just my opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I asked a friend how he felt about this and he said that they are all grey to him... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If an implement or attachment, like a box blade or a canopy, came in different colors I would choose orange because when mounted the tractor and implement looks like a single total unit. Kind of like a TLB does. Makes me smile. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
